Design.Plot

My lastest project, and one of the reasons I decided it was time to move back to the east coast:

I should have posted about it earlier – but better late than never! Please help us out with this awesome endeavor by spreading the good word and perhaps pitching in a dollar or two if you like the idea. Trish, Maureen and I are all super dooper excited about pioneering this Greenpoint lot and are fully invested in making our dreams of urban farming and growing explorations a reality.  I just got to town and I can’t wait to “dig in” and transform this former parking lot into a community haven, design oasis and productive green machine unlike any other space in the city. Stay tuned for updates and events and feel free to swing by any old time. We’d love to see ya.

Bye Bye Sandpoint

August 8, 2011

Here is my Sandpoint snap pea harvest, and some teeny tiny tender poppies that I started from seed. I didn’t have much success planting and growing in Northern Idaho. If I were to do it again I would have started with plants outdoors instead of trying seeds, the season is just way too short. On my garden planner the last planting for tomatoes is before the first planting! Now how does that work? I could have tried harder, but perhaps the wanderer in me knew I was leaving, it has been a great 11 months though and I’ll miss Sandpoint a whole bunch. Good times!
