Today is Sunday. Today is a good day.

HUMBOLDT ST, Brooklyn: Had a lot of gardening to catch up on this weekend and all the plants needed some major TLC. Coffee and deadheading is a morning well spent. A good portion of the day was dedicated tying back all the tomato vines that were threatening to snap under their own weight. The bounty was plentiful, with lots more promise waiting to ripen. What a strange year for tomatoes, not enough sun early on has left for a late harvest. It’s already October and there are still so many green fruits on all of the tomato plants around here, not just at my place, but all over Brooklyn, and I dare say the Northeast Corner of this nation and everywhere else that had a rainy June and July.
